My life long passion for horses is
something I was born with. I can't remember a time
where I was not drawing, or
photographing horses. My first rides as a
small child were
with my mom holding me on a horse named "Horse". Growing up in Hollywood, there were
plenty of excursions to Griffith Park
Stables and
weekends at my dads filled with riding his Arabian mare. Visits to the home of
the famous stunt man
Yakima Canutt had me in awe, looking at the
parade saddles and hearing his stories...Though
I have ridden since I could walk, I
thought I would spend my entire life ...NOT
OWNING MY OWN HORSE.
Many years later my husband asked me what I
wanted out of my life. Besides being married
to him, I wanted a ranch and horses. Be
careful what you wish for! Within a year we
owned a beautiful ranch in Weatherford,
Texas and not long after, horses!
I am truly blessed as I watch from my studio
and watch our colt Murphy play with his herd mates. He is my special soul mate with
hooves. I love
Natural Horsemanship, and follow many
different methods. The level of trust and
communication one can have with a horse is humbling.
My passion for painting and photography is
the inspiration for this web site, Murphy
gave it it's name as he is really blue.
I have been creating for over 35
years using many different styles. I like to paint with all media whether it be watercolor, oils
or airbrush. I am also a master
goldsmith, and bronze sculptor.
I love photography, and use it as a basis for all of my artwork. I bought my
first professional 35mm camera in the early 80's. Technology is awesome
with the invention of the digital camera. I currently shoot with a Nikon D3/D2x and
Nikon ED pro lenses 18-35mm,18-55mm,24-70mm,70-200mm,200-400mm. I never leave home
without a camera in the car. You never know what adventures you may have.
I have a passion for life and laughter... and meeting new friends. Life is an adventure, every day.
